Tohatsu is now producing an LPG 5HP motor. It is based off of the 6HP gas model. We have been very impressed with its performance. The other LPG manufacturer has not impressed us and we decided to no longer be an authorized warranty department for them.

Tohatsu is also producing the 20, 15 and 9.9 as an EFI model. They are based on the 20HP frame work, so they are a little larger. I put a 9.9 on my 23' Robalo and it has performed flawless. The charging system is what has really impressed me so far. My Garmin unit shows that the motor keeps the batteries charged even when I run my heater. Yes, I have a heater and I use it all winter long. I hate being cold!

For Sale

We are a Tohatsu dealer and authorized repair shop. The Tohatsu name is not one that is familiar, but they have made motors since the late 50's. They currently supply certain motors for Mercury and Evinrude. Their motors 150 HP to 250 HP 4-strokes are made by Honda. There is several boat motor manufacturers that use other manufaturers motors, it isn't something new to the industry.

Current Stock: We carry a lot of the motors 20 hpand smaller. The larger motors we just order as needed. If they are in stock, it takes normally about 7-10 days to get. I've seen them in 3 days, but it is a rare occassion.
